Social Policy Team Domestic violence, affordable housing, transportation issues, health care -- many of the hot issues of the day are under the umbrella of the local Social Policy Team. The team holds monthly meetings, open to any interested members, at which there is one focus topic as well as updates on other issues.
Members share their own experiences and invite non-League speakers to bring additional expertise to the discussions.Some of this year’s issues will include:
Affordable housing (LWVM study and consensus)
Child abuse/domestic violence
Restorative justice
Immigration policies (LWVUS study and consensus)
Casino gambling
